Job Summary

Cambridge CELTA or Trinity TESOL qualified teacher, preferably with one or more years of experience. Familiarity with Cambridge English exam preparation. Become part of a supportive, professional teaching team in a friendly and caring environment, teach a variety of levels and class types (adults, teenagers, 121), have access to a wide range of teaching resources and well-equipped classrooms, enjoy continuous peer support plus regular teacher development sessions.

Details of Position

The British School of Taranto is looking for full time teachers for short positions until end of June or July 2021 to teach a range of courses for children, teenagers and adults at all levels. Our courses take place on our own school premises and off-site in state schools and companies.
Our school is based in southern Italy and professionally run by friendly and highly motivated staff. We usually only offer full-time teaching contracts but for teachers already living in Italy we can consider part-time.

Qualifications

We require our teachers to have a recognised official teaching qualification enabling you to teach English as a Foreign Language (RSA or Trinity certificate 100 hours training) Cambridge CELTA or Trinity College Cert TESOL (not online, weekend or other short courses unless the applicant has had at least 2 years teaching experience in a Language School following the course).
We're hiring Candidates who also have experience of preparation for the University of Cambridge exams.
It is essential that the candidate is able to provide two good professional references and enjoys working with children and adults.

Salary and Benefits

Contract is until end-June or July 2021 (extendable and/or renewable by mutual consent). 25 teaching hours a week
The actual salary will be based on experience and qualifications but ranges from 1,100.00 to 1,200.00 net per month.
NI contributions and tax paid in the UK only for candidates eligible for British contracts. ; net salary paid directly in euros via bank transfer.
Reasonably priced accommodation is available, sharing with other teachers in a residential area extremely well-placed for shops and services, 15/20 mins on foot from the school).
