New ELT job openings - Week ending 23 January, 2026.
China, Colombia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Portugal, Spain, UK, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain + Online teaching.
Starting in China, TEFL UK is offering an attractive package to teach English in the heart of Shanghai. This role comes with a strong monthly salary, free housing, flight allowances, full visa support, paid holidays, health insurance and training to help you settle in fast - all while living in one of Asia’s most exciting cities and joining a ready-made expat community.
Next up is Colombia, where TEFL UK is also recruiting English teachers for its Ambassadors Program. Based across Bogotá and other major cities, this role features small class sizes, flexible start dates, structured training, and a competitive monthly salary, making it ideal for teachers keen to experience South America while working.
Over in Indonesia, there’s a lot happening. English 1 Eduka Group, part of the EF Education First network, is hiring teachers across East Java, Lombok and Bandung, with opportunities in cities like Surabaya and Malang. Meanwhile, Santa Laurensia School in Tangerang is looking for both an Assistant to the Head of the English Department and an English Teacher, blending classroom teaching with leadership and academic coordination.
In Myanmar, the British Council is offering an Academic Coordinator (Adult Courses) role in Yangon. This position focuses on maintaining high teaching standards, developing adult programmes and supporting teacher development.
Moving to Portugal, Fun Languages Viseu – Leibor Lda is advertising a TEFL role in Viseu from September 2026 to July 2027, including housing and flights. Teaching teenagers and adults in a structured academic setting.
In Spain, Trinity Language School is seeking part-time ESL teachers in Aldaia, Valencia. It’s a solid option for EU-based teachers looking for stable hours and competitive pay.
In the United Kingdom, opportunities range from year-round teaching at Melton College, York, to summer school roles with St Edmund’s College in Ware and Dusemond Study Programmes Ltd in Cheltenham.
The United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain rounds off the on-site roles, with The International Schools of Choueifat recruiting English Teachers for the 2026–2027 academic year across their Middle Eastern campuses.
Finally, the online roles. International Experience SRL is hiring teachers for Italian children and teens, Myes Italia Srl offers online adult group teaching with strong professional development and Metanova Language Services needs teachers for one-to-one online lessons for adult learners worldwide, including exam preparation and fluency work.
