Located in the busy commercial heart of Cagliari, the Academy seeks experienced (min. 2 years) qualified teachers for September 2024. We are a passionate team of EFL professionals committed to providing our students with an immersive, high quality experience of language learning that helps them achieve their life goals. Our school caters all age groups, from primary school up to adults, offering general English and preparation courses for Cambridge English examinations. We are an authorised examinations centre for Cambridge English qualifications (Centre IT560) and a member of AISLI, the "Associazione Italiana Scuola di Lingue", which guarantees the highest standards in EFL teaching in Italy (https://www.aisli.it/)

What distinguishes us from other schools is our focus on complementary services for our students, including a language laboratory staffed by qualified tutors to enable students to consolidate their learning in class. We also have three conversation rooms to help students improve their confidence and fluency in speaking English. Through the use of interactive technology our classroom lessons have become "smart", enabling absent students to participate remotely with the same quality of interaction they could expect in the physical classroom.

The ideal candidate will be a reliable team-player with a dynamic classroom presence and a passion for teaching. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience of teaching young learners. Teachers will work 25 hours a week with duties including: teaching group and individual lessons; conversation; materials development and/or marking; exam invigilation. Teachers are given initial induction and ongoing professional development, paid holidays, and sick pay (on production of a valid medical certificate). We encourage teachers who meet the minimum professional requirements to train up as speaking examiners for Cambridge certifications.

Cagliari is a lively port city on the south coast of Sardinia, Italy's second largest island.
