Details of Position
The English Language Instructor Is Responsible for:
Teaching International English at a variety of levels in the undergraduate programme
Teaching in the Business Bridge programme, which is a preparatory course for qualified secondary students
Participating in extracurricular support programmes through the Academic Success Centre, such as tutoring and discussion groups
Supporting the Director of Studies in ensuring the quality of all modules
Monitoring students' progress and helping them succeed in their studies
Applicants will have a teaching load of 18-20 hours per week.
Qualifications
A bachelors degree in English / Education / Linguistics / related field plus a CELTA / DELTA certification or an equivalent
A masters degree in TESOL / ELT / Applied Linguistics
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with demonstrated teaching skills
Personal qualities: positive, emotionally intelligent, hard-working, willing to share knowledge, professional, pro-active, and passionate about teaching
Desirable Experience
Previous university experience
Some experience in course planning and material design
