Details of Position

"Overall Duties and Responsibilities:
Excellent understanding of and personal experience with Finnish early childhood learning environment, teaching methodology and curriculum.
Ability to take best practices from a Finnish and tailor/adapt to delivery of an enhanced, globalised model with a 21st century focus.
Ability to train, coach, inspire all academic staff - Vietnamese teachers, Expatriate teachers (including Finnish and international teachers), teaching assistants and all academic support staff.
Ability to support the recruitment process for Finish/international teachers and other academic positions.
Ability to develop and tailor early childhood Finnish-modelled curricula, lesson plans, and supporting teaching materials in detail that provide and support consistency and quality of teaching methodology.
Ability to monitor, manage and evaluate teaching delivery to ensure the programmes learning objectives and methodology is evident in each classroom and for every child.
Oversee the successful implementation of the preschool programme across multiple preschools for all ages and stages.
Implement classroom management processes in the classes and audit the program on a regular basis to provide evidence of its success.
Responsible for the evaluations and performance appraisals of academic staff, and development plan and additional training s as required.
Monitor, manage and improve (as needed) relevant systems, processes and structures across a number of preschools in order to provide quality control and standardisation of best practices and required standards of academic delivery.
Represent and be an ambassador for this type of Finnish-modelled early childhood education and the preschool in parent-facing and related networking events.

The Lead Teacher is a confident and accomplished teacher with an instructional leadership background or ambitions.
He/She is inspirational in her approach to training, developing and coaching other teachers and is passionate about the development of young people.
She thrives in a dynamic environment, is an excellent problem solver and able to help Teachers and assistants learn to problem solve as well.
She must be an experienced and forward planner to be able to ensure the educational objectives of the Preschool are met.
The Lead Teacher, must be a good manager of people, passionate about developing young people, knowledgeable about the Preschool program and learning outcomes, kind and generous in nature to and able to generate trust of parents, students, staff and the community.

Report to:
School Manager for administrative duties and Head of Department of Studies for academic duties."


"Excellent written and spoken English communication skills at Native Level English Speaker level.
Holds a Bachelors or Masters degree in early childhood education.
Certified/accredited training of a substantial nature in Finnish education.
At least 2-3 years of experience in teaching early childhood learners.
Some experience in leadership/ managerial positions which include leading, training, coaching, evaluating and managing teachers (Vietnamese and Expatriate), teaching assistants and other academic support staff.
