Job Summary

Team leaders have a big role to play in ensuring that their teams deliver assessments. You will focus on developing a team ensuring they have the skills required to deliver and in measuring their performance. You will be responsible for effective line management and academic support for groups of full-time IELTS Examiners, you will also ensure high standards of assessment which meet quality standards.

Details of Position

We are encouraging speculative applications for the position of Team Leader for IELTS Examiners, working with us in British Council China. We have regular opportunities in the following cities:

- Beijing
- Shanghai
- Chongqing
- Guangzhou

Qualifications

- A minimum of 5 years full-time (or equivalent part-time) teaching experience (age 16 and above), 1 year of which must be post-CELTA or equivalent
- 4+ years experience as an IELTS examiner or 2 years examining experience with a minimum of 600 candidates in each module.
- You will also have a satisfactory monitoring and certification history.
- Your English needs to be at expert user level (equivalent to IELTS band 9).
- You will also need to demonstrate effective people management skill
