Teachers are supported by the DOS who leads the teaching team with planning and classroom management, and reports to the centre manager.
CLAC teachers are able to use weekly themes to help them create interesting and relevant classes.
Details of Position
As CLAC staff you will be part of an interactive and positive team where you will get the chance to contribute your ideas and enthusiasm to the course and work together with your colleagues to give CLAC students the experience that has made CLAC 'A Centre of Excellence' in 2018 and one of the 'Best of Summer 2014' schools.
It is no surprise that CLAC has such a high return rate with over 70% of our staff returning to us after their first year. CLAC is accredited by the British Council and a member of English UK, we specialise in residential summer courses for young learners and do not accept large groups. We offer our staff ongoing training throughout our courses and encourage professional development at every opportunity.
*Previous experience of teaching EFL students between the ages of 8 and 17 is particularly desirable.

CLAC is committed to safeguarding and maintaining a safe environment for all students studying on our courses.
We will require the contact details of two recent and relevant referees who we will contact. Any gaps in your CV will be enquired about, and must be explained satisfactorily. You will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (or equivalent if living outside the UK), and you will be asked to sign the Childrens Act 1989 declaration safeguarding the welfare of children, and state that you have no known reason why you cannot work with children. Official identification including passport and certificates (either originals or certified copies) will be required.

Salary and Benefits
Our courses are residential and usually so are our staff. The only exception would be if a staff member lives nearby and a non-residential arrangement has been agreed with the director/centre manager.
You can expect full board accommodation with your own fully furnished room wherever possible, furnishings are commensurate with boarding schools. All meals are provided. There is access to laundry facilities and WiFi.
If staff are asked to take on significant additional responsibilities, extra remuneration will be allocated, in agreement with the director. The salary will be paid in two instalments; one mid courseand the second at the end.
Staff must be available from 6th of July- 6th of August 2018 inclusive. Contracts are for between 2 and 4 weeks depending on the course requirements. (To be discussed in interview)
