ACTIVITY PROGRAMME MANAGER (Residential, full time)
ACTIVITY TEAM MEMBERS (Non-residential, part-time)
We are seeking exceptional and experienced staff for our 2 week English Language Residential Summer Study and Activity Tour. This will be an intensive and demanding two weeks but extremely enjoyable and rewarding.

Details of Position

We are looking for suitably-qualified and talented ESL teachers who have not only a passion for teaching English but also for teaching young people about British history and culture.
As part of our UK Junior Study Tour team in July, you will prepare and teach ESL classes for students aged 9-11 in a responsible and professional manner in accordance with the syllabus and timetable reporting to the Director of Operations.
There will be 3 hours of classroom contact hours Monday to Friday, 0900-1230 (including a 30-minute break. Lessons will be closely linked to the activity programme and cultural excursions.
In the afternoon, you will be leading activities for 3 hours and create continuity and language practice related to the classroom learning.
You will be accompanying the students on all-day excursions (for example to London), making sure learning extends beyond the classroom.
You will be assisting with some pastoral duties, ensuring the safety and well-being of the students during meals and break times.
You will deliver engaging lessons and lead stimulating activity sessions at residential summer schools in the UK.
You will be a responsible adult presence in the boarding house that is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our students and assist them in all aspects of their stay. Working 5 days a week Monday-Friday plus assisting with morning and evening duties during the weekend. Houseparents will provide student supervision, lead daily meetings, undertake house checks, manage pocket money as well as help in activities and excursions with the students if needed.
Wake students in the morning for breakfast and morning registration and inspect student bedrooms
Monitor the students welfare and behaviour and report any problems in the residence to the Director of Operations
Report student illness promptly. If emergency attention is required, administer first aid, to use the emergency number or call an Ambulance
Ensure the smooth running of the boarding house generally
Maintain a friendly, welcoming and happy environment
Help with maintaining general cleanliness and tidiness in the boarding house
Reporting any maintenance issues
Assist with laundry requirements of the students
To ensure a visible presence in and around the premises of the boarding house at all times when on duty
Ensure curfew times are kept
Help with student arrivals, student induction and departures when required
Liaise with Programme Directors and Heads of Department as requested.
ACTIVITY PROGRAMME MANAGER (Residential, full time)
We are looking for a well-organised, responsible and energetic person with leadership ability to manage a varied, educational, cultural and fun activity and excursion programme. You will be managing and motivating a team of young activity leaders while also taking an active role in the students everyday life during the study tour.
You will be ensuring the welfare and safety of students at all times during afternoon and evening activities. The role involves organising and supervising daily activities/sports/entertainment and trips to London, Cambridge, Windsor etc. This is a 6-day week residential role, including the weekend.
The role involves making sure that registers are complete and that all risk assessments are completed and signed off. You will be responsible for any first aid needed and be in close communication with other staff at all times.
Experience in sports coaching and leading other entertainment or dancing/singing activities useful.
ACTIVITY TEAM MEMBERS (Non-residential, part-time)
You will be reporting to the Activity Manager and be assisting with trips, afternoon and evening activities up to 6 days a week including weekends on a rota basis. Working times approximately 1 pm- 8 pm Monday-Friday and all day at the weekend.
Duties include running various activities for students including half and full day excursions, sports, evening entertainment and ensuring the welfare of students is maintained at all times.
Experience in leading sporting/dancing/singing activities useful. This role would suit a young adult with lots of enthusiasm and creativity.

Essential qualifications, skills & experience:
Native level of English (Providing a clear and accurate model of the English language)
CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL or equivalent/ PGCE in English or Modern Foreign Language/PGCE (Primary) - TEACHERS
University degree
2 years relative experience
experience/knowledge of Safeguarding
Excellent communication skills
Ability to engage children
Willingness, flexibility and ability to participate fully and enthusiastically in the students' experience
Eligibility to work in the UK
Current enhanced DBS certificate
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational and planning skills
Ability to deal with and resolve complex problems and issues

Ability to work under pressure
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience:
Experience of working on a residential summer school
Experience of working with students aged 9-11
First Aid
Experience in leading activities and excursions
teaching experience (non-teaching roles)

Salary and Benefits

£500-550 per week depending on skills and experience
You will work a 5 day week (30 contact hours)
+ 12.07% holiday pay per week Holiday pay is calculated on a pro-rata basis, and is paid at the end of a contract.
the role is residential both food (full board) and accommodation is provided.
£400-450 per week depending on skills and experience.
You will work a 5 day week plus assisting with morning and evening duties during the weekend (approximately 40 hours)
+ 12.07% holiday pay per week Holiday pay is calculated on a pro-rata basis, and is paid at the end of a contract.
the role is residential both food (full board) and accommodation are provided.
ACTIVITY PROGRAMME MANAGER (Residential, full time)
£450-£500 per week depending on skills and experience + 12.07% holiday pay + full accommodation and meals
You will work a 6 day week (approximately 40 hours)
ACTIVITY TEAM MEMBERS (Non-residential, part-time)
Up to £10 per hour depending on experience and skills
Dinner provided.
This is a non-residential position.
