Job Summary

Highfield School are looking to recruit qualified and passionate EFL Teachers for our 3 week residential language school programme 14th July - 4th August 2018. Students aged 8-15 years. Salary: from £500 to £550 per week (including 12.07% statutory holiday pay). Fun, supportive team, great facilities and beautiful grounds in Liphook, Hampshire.

Details of Position

Highfield School enjoys an outstanding reputation for academic success and feeds the top senior schools in England. The School is set in glorious 175 acre grounds in the Hampshire countryside less than an hour from London and Heathrow Airport. Owned and run by Highfield School, the Summer School provides outstanding English language tuition for approx. 45 overseas students aged 8-15 years, as well as offering a three week taster of all the fun, sports and activities which are part of life in a real English Country Boarding School.
We are seeking qualified, experienced EFL Teachers to plan and deliver exciting and engaging EFL lessons during our Summer course from 14th July - 4th August 2018. Working with the Director of Studies, EFL Teachers will seek to develop each individual students language ability and track their progress over the three week course.
A typical working day for EFL Teachers is 8.30am-6pm with approximately 20 contact hours per week. The working day includes appropriate time for preparation, collaboration and admin time. Our EFL Teachers are not involved with our daily Sports programme, but will be involved with our Tuesday Activities Afternoon. EFL Teachers will also be required to do evening or morning boarding duties on a rotational basis and take part in some of the excursions.
Staff will be required to attend three days of INSET training from 10am on Wednesday 11th July. The course starts on Saturday 14th July 2018 and finishes on Saturday 4th August 2018.

Successful candidates will be experienced, University graduates and will possess a valid TESOL certificate, CELTA or Trinity College TESOL (or Accreditation-UK recognised equivalent). Native level competence in spoken and written English is essential, as is a willingness to be involved in all areas of school life.

Salary and Benefits

The Salary for the role is £1500-£1650 depending on qualifications and experience (including statutory holiday pay). Accommodation, as well as all meals and refreshments are provided for the duration of the course, and staff are able to enjoy the beautiful Highfield grounds and facilities in their spare time when not in use by the school.
