Discovery Summer is accredited by the British Council and runs both day and residential summer courses for international students aged 5-17. The students have come to learn English, make new friends, try new activities, get to know London and have a great time!
Many of our staff and students come back year after year. In 2017 we welcomed students of over 60 nationalities, 60% of our staff were returners and many recommend us to their friends.
We are recruiting teachers for the following roles:
Marymount International School in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey.
Students aged 8-13.
Contracts of 4-5 weeks.
Monday to Friday. 2 July - 3 August + induction at the school on Thurs 28 + Fri 29 June.
Approx 26 contact hours per week. You will also be expected to attend the relevant meetings, write reports and prepare classes outside of those hours.
Collingham, Kensington, London
Students aged 5-17.
Contracts of 6-7 weeks.
Monday to Friday. 25 June to 10 August + induction at the school on Sat 23 June.
17.5 or 35 contact hours per week. You will also be expected to attend the relevant meetings, write reports and prepare classes outside of those hours.
Queen's Gate, Kensington, London
Students aged 7-13.
Contracts of 6 weeks.
Monday to Friday. 2 July to 10 August + induction at the school on Sat 23 June and Sunday 1 July.
35 contact hours per week. You will also be expected to attend the relevant meetings, write reports and prepare classes outside of those hours.

Degree (any discipline)
CELTA, Trinity TESOL, BEd/PGCE (Primary, English or MFL) or EFL Level 5 equivalent
EFL experience with the relevant age group
Experience of teaching multi-national, multi-lingual classes
Previous summer school experience/international school experience
Experience in teaching task-based/project based learning
Committed to producing student centred, interactive classes
Provides a clear and accurate model of the English language
Organised, reliable and has good administrative skills
Professional, culturally aware and genuinely enjoys working with children/teenagers
Hardworking, creative, energetic and committed to professional growth and development
