Job Summary

START FEBRUARY 2018
Main responsibilities:
Play a large part in the Staff Induction Day. The Activities Coordinator will provide training to Activity Leaders and Teachers in planning, organising and running on-site and off-site activities and excursions to British Council standards.
Lead activities and excursions through active participation yourself.
Working closely with the other members of the management team to provide a meaningful and challenging learning experience for students.

Job Description: ACTIVITY COORDINATOR (Full-time, includes 2 evenings and Saturdays)
Dates: February to October 2018
Reports to: Director of Studies / Principal
Role: Development, delivery, and support of activity programmes in line with agreed standards. As an Activity Coordinator, you are responsible for improving and monitoring a suitable activity and excursion programme, which you will both lead and partake in.
Essential Requirements: An enthusiastic and dynamic approach to working with young learners. High level of communication skills. High level of organisational skills. Experience of working within budgets. Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety standards. Knowledge of sports and local places of interest. Knowledge and experience of junior student welfare a major advantage.

Salary: £1,400.00 /month + single room (private bathroom)
(Room included with extra residential responsibilities)

Required experience: Working with children: 2 years

Native level English speaker preferred

Qualifications

First Aid trained beneficial (can be given)
Fire Marshall trained is beneficial (training can be given)

All references will be checked regarding each applicants suitability to have responsibility for, substantial access to, and care of children under 18.
Proof of Identity and all relevant qualifications will be required and photocopies taken of the original certificates.

An enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check will be completed prior to confirmation of appointment.

Foreign police checks will be required, where necessary.
Any gaps in an applicants employment history must be explained satisfactorily.

Salary and Benefits

£1400 per month
Single room with private bathroom (extra residential duties for free accommodation)
