Job Summary

Details of Position

We are looking for a Senior Teacher native or near-native English speaker with expertise in exam preparation and young learners, experience in the private sector, and an EU passport. Degree, CELTA or DELTA and 5 years' experience required. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, professional, and eager to advance their career at our school.

The job requires teaching primary children, teens, adults, companies. We are a CELTA Centre and welcome a CELTA Tutor. Alternatively, we would offer training to become a CELTA Tutor and the possibility of becoming ADoS. We are the Cambridge centre for the area and many of our courses are exam prep, therefore we welcome Cambridge examiners or offer Cambridge Speaking Examiner training. He/she would support the DoS in organising training sessions for our teachers especially YLE courses.

He/she will be teaching individuals and groups, Business English in companies, General English, exam preparation classes (PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS, TOEFL) and conversation classes in the evenings, children/teen courses in the afternoon (YLE, KET, PET, FCE, CAE).

Qualifications

We are particularly interested in hiring a teacher who is an expert at teaching writing, knows Joint Construction and how to correct and assess writing for Cambridge, IELTS and TOEFL. Furthermore, knowledge of intercultural communication and soft skills would be very welcome as we organise workshops for students and teachers.

We require a degree, CELTA, a specialization in YL, exam prep, an expert teacher of writing (for Cambridge, IELTS and TOEFL) and minimum 5 years in quality language schools. CELTA Trainer and Cambridge Speaking Examiner welcome. European passport essential; English native/near native; DELTA or TESOL Dip welcome; PGCE very welcome; CertIBET a plus; Cambridge speaking examiner a plus (otherwise will undergo training internally); interest in intercultural communication and soft skills training; knowledge of Italian useful; driving license and being a capable driver essential (do NOT apply if you are NOT an experienced driver, please, as some driving is involved); o

Salary and Benefits

Salary from Euro 1500 net (with severance pay at end of school contract euro 1000) depending on experience and qualifications. Full-time ANINSEI contract from 15 September 2025 to 15 June 2026 (ideal if you teach in a UK summer school). The contract could eventually turn into a full-time full-year permanent job. If you use your own car we pay 0.50 per km. We do not pay for flights. Please send CV with photo to Peter Anderson.
