Job Summary

Details of Position

We are a small language school and offer English courses to children aged 4-14. We are currently recruiting a driven Assistant Director of Studies to take over part of the academic side of operations starting September 2024. There is a teaching component to the position as well. The ideal candidate will have considerable Cambridge exams knowledge and extensive experience teaching Reading, Writing and Listening skills. On top of that, man-management, leadership and administrative skills are essential. Outstanding communication skills as well as a positive, can-do attitude are also required.

We are looking for a talented individual with a high level of personal integrity, responsibility and creativity that relishes to create a supportive work environment and motivate staff.

For non-EU nationals, we take care of the visa process and work permit.

Contract period
Starting September 2024 - June 2025 with the possibility of extending

Main responsibilities
Teach up to 20 hours a week from Monday to Friday
Lead professional development sessions and teacher training
Monitor student progress and complete progress reports
Constantly monitor staff performance, guide and help however necessary
Conduct lesson observations and provide feedback
Participate in the recruitment of new teachers

Applicants should have one of the following required qualifications:
Cambridge CELTA, Cambridge CELTYL, BA TEFL, BA TESOL, Cambridge DELTA, Masters MA TESOL, MA TEFL, MA, Trinity CertTESOL, MA Linguistics

Native level English speaker preferred

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years full time EFL teaching
Cambridge exams experience
Degree required
CELTA Certificate or equivalent
DELTA Certificate or Masters in EFL or TESOL
Valid DBS check

Salary and Benefits

10,000 RON gross salary monthly
