Details of Position
Positive, outgoing, FT English teacher required to start October 2024. We teach all ages from four year olds through to adults, with the majority of classes being primary and teenage children. Experience with young learners is a must and experience teaching infants useful. Preference given for teachers with experience teaching Cambridge English (B1, B2, C1).
Located in a charming, seaside resort town on the Costa de la Luz, Number 10 Language Centre was established in 2005 and has enjoyed steady growth since its outset. Its current reputation is very positive within the local community and feeds on quality teaching and an excellent service record. The school itself was purpose built and decorated to offer a comfortable and stimulating learning environment for children and adults alike. Broadly speaking, we like to offer a kinesthetic approach to classes, with plenty of movement and an ever-present element of play. We are an official Cambridge Exam Preparation Centre with an excellent pass rate, so experience in Cambridge exam preparation is essential.
In order to complete our teaching team for the forthcoming academic year, we are seeking to recruit one full-time teacher from October 2024 until mid June 2025. Most teaching takes place between 16.00h and 21.30h Monday to Thursday, although teachers MAY be required to teach a few morning classes and a minimal timetable on Friday afternoons (5-7pm) during the third term.
Each teacher is assigned their own, fully-equipped classroom and are free to decorate it as they see fit. There is also a functional staff room with tea/coffee provided and a massive resource base of books, games and in-house, didactic material. Teachers will have free and complete access to the school and its facilities both during and outside of working timetables.
The local children are generally very well-behaved and there is little need for discipline. Any ongoing issues are dealt with by the management so full communication is encouraged throughout the course.Still, good classroom management skills are a must.
Sanlucar is a traditional, Andalusian city which has managed to conserve its raw, cultural heritage. All those who visit become enamoured by its gastronomy, its hidden 'treasures' and timeless, quintessentially Spanish charm. The cost of living here remains pretty cheap compared to national averages.More information on request.

Spanish residency card/number
TEFL or other similar/equivalent qualification
NATIVE level English speaker
Solid knowledge of English grammar/language structure
Minimum 2 year's experience in the field
Experience of teaching Cambridge exams up to levels B1,B2 and C1

Good rapport with students and colleagues alike
Defined classroom management skills

THREE OPTIONS AVAILABLE: NET,(in pocket) 20 contact hours/week,1050 euros pcm. Hourly rate above core contract hours will be paid at 15 euros net/contact hour OR
NET 18 contact hours/week 950 euros pcm (extra hours as above) OR
NET 16 contact hours/week 850 euros pcm (extra hours as above)
All social security payments, fully declared, on core contracts.
All holidays paid in full (Christmas 2 weeks, Easter 1 week, all national/local holidays)
Two nights hotel accommodation whilst house/flat hunting (as of September 2022)
Assistance given, where required, in getting set up: bank accounts, registering with a local Doctor, Resident's permit, house hunting, local orientation etc
