Details of Position
The EFL Teachers key responsibility is to provide Ardmore students with fun, engaging and well-organised lessons in a positive learning environment, to help them to progress their level of English speaking, writing and listening skills.
Key Facts:
- Reports to Director of Studies (DOS).
-Fixed-Term Contracts: Full Days; 42 hours per week.
- Evening and weekend work required.
- Residential and non-residential options available.
Qualifications
EFL Teachers teach (30 hours a week) using our Ardmore syllabus and will be expected to be enthusiastic and take responsibility for appropriate lesson planning, lesson delivery, academic administration, checking class registers and monitoring student progress to achieve the objectives of our syllabus. Lessons should be fully engaging, age and level appropriate, student-centred and focussed on improving the communicative skills of our young learners aged 9-17. Whenever they are timetabled, EFL Teachers will also lead a Conversation Club, which take place in the evenings, and teach exam preparation courses (like Trinity). Ardmore is very keen to provide opportunities for all our staff to develop, so teachers attend CPD sessions once a week. The EFL Teachers will assist with student testing, staff inductions, staff training diploma writing and be responsible for looking after their classroom and College property.
