About British Camp

British Camp is an international English-speaking camp for children and teenagers aged 7 to 17. Since 2014, we've been creating immersive environments where campers build confidence, make friends, and grow through meaningful experiences.

Were looking for enthusiastic native-level English speakers to join our international team for our winter session in the Ukrainian Carpathians. You'll help campers practise English through communication, activities, and shared experiences while becoming part of a warm and welcoming international community.

Location: Myhove, Chernivtsi region, Ukrainian Carpathians. The region is in western Ukraine, near the Romanian border, and is considered relatively safer than many other parts of the country.

Dates: January 2 to January 9, 2027.

What you'll do:

• Lead speaking clubs and take part in fun activities with campers.
• Encourage children and teenagers to communicate naturally in English.
• Be actively involved in daily camp life.
• Help create a safe, positive, and engaging environment.
• Work alongside an international team and share your culture, ideas, and experiences.

Were looking for someone who:

• Is a native-level English speaker.
• Has experience working with children or teenagers (teaching, camps, coaching, tutoring, etc.).
• Is energetic, responsible, and open-minded.
• Enjoys teamwork and an active environment.
• Is ready to bring their personality, interests, and talents to camp life.

What we offer:

• Accommodation and meals provided.
• Travel expenses covered.
• The opportunity to gain valuable volunteering experience and make a positive impact on children's lives.
• A chance to discover Ukraine, explore its rich culture and traditions, meet local people, and experience the warmth of Ukrainian hospitality.
• An opportunity for cultural exchange: share your own background while learning about life in Ukraine.
• A comfortable hotel stay in the mountains.
• Beautiful winter scenery and opportunities to enjoy winter sports.
• The chance to become part of an international team and make new friends.

This is more than just a winter camp experience. Its an opportunity to connect with people, share your language and culture, support young learners, and discover a beautiful country that may surprise you.

Travel Information

The camp takes place in Myhove, Chernivtsi region, western Ukraine. Please be aware that the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) currently advises against all but essential travel to the Chernivtsi region. This may affect the validity of your travel insurance. We strongly recommend checking the latest official travel advice and confirming your insurance coverage before making travel arrangements.

Applications are welcome from both candidates currently in Ukraine and those travelling from abroad. However, preference will be given to candidates who are already in Ukraine.
If you're planning to be in Ukraine in January and would love to be part of our winter camp, we'd be happy to hear from you!

Know someone who might be a great fit? Feel free to share this opportunity with them!

We look forward to welcoming new Camp Heroes to our team!

Safeguarding: The safety and well-being of children are our top priorities. All selected candidates must be willing to undergo appropriate background checks, including providing a criminal record check or police clearance certificate, and references from previous employers or organisations they have worked with. Previous experience working with children and a responsible approach to child safeguarding are essential.
