Details of Position
Bede's Summer School are looking for suitably-qualified, talented teachers who have not only a passion for teaching, but also the ability to adapt to the different aspects of the role.

As an EFL teacher you will plan relevant, structured, well-paced, varied and enjoyable English lessons, following Bede's syllabus. You will help develop students language skills, increase their vocabulary base, build their confidence and fluency when speaking English while give them an insight into popular English culture, habits, traits and beliefs.
A typical working day is from 8.15am to 17:30pm, depending on the course and centre, and consists of teaching lessons in the morning, lunch break, further lessons and up to 3 hours of paid preparation and admin time in the afternoons.
On Fridays, EFL Teachers work until 7:45pm so they can attend the student official Leavers Ceremony which is a great way of engaging with international students from all over the world.
Teachers are required to attend 1 x 30-minute CPD session per week. This session is aimed at further developing their teaching skills.
EFL Teachers (5 Day) are entitled to 2 full days off at the weekend, Saturday and Sunday.
EFL Teachers (6 Day) are entitled to 1 full day off per week, usually a Saturday or Sunday.

Qualifications
1-year minimum teaching experience with young learners and able to plan CELTA style lessons.
University degree in any discipline.
CELTA or Trinity College TESOL or PGCE English / Modern Foreign Languages (or Accreditation UK equivalent*).
Other qualifications defined by the Accreditation UK are accepted, please inquire.

Salary and Benefits

Competitive salaries for EFL teachers start at £700 per week (plus holiday pay allowance on top of the weekly salary) - ESP and Academy teachers can count on £770 per week plus holiday pay, with fully paid induction and safeguarding training.
Contracts starting from the end of June up until mid-August.
Contracts range from 1 to 7 weeks.
