Leadership and Management:
Manage, lead, and inspire the activity team to deliver the excursion programme with an exemplary level of dedication to students' development and welfare.
Effectively manage and oversee the contribution and performance of other members of the Activity Management team.Student and

Group Satisfaction:
Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring excursion and onsite activity experiences meet or exceed expectations.

Programme Coordination:
Prepare and update programmes as changes are requested.
Manage the activity managers in each centre, training the Activity leaders, preparing the training for the Activity managers. in each centre and making sure that our clients are happy with the activities on offer ( that they are age appropriate and interesting.
This candidate should be confident that they can ensure the delivery of a modern and appropriate activity programme in all our centres and be accountable to the operations manager.
The Activity Manager is responsible for the organisation and delivery of a high-quality activity and excursion programme for students, which includes inspiring; training and managing Activity Leaders to achieve this goal. In addition, they also are responsible for the safe delivery and coordination of all logistics necessary for off-site excursions.
Excursions
Ensure that staff are receiving training on how to lead excursions and follow up during the summer

Health & Safety and Budget Management:
Ensure excursions operate to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety, safeguarding, and HR practices.
Ensure the excursion and activity programme runs within pre-determined budgets and take responsibility for the timely and accurate submission of all administration.

Training and Development:
Induct and train Activity staff in Best Practices that facilitate the high-quality delivery of all excursions, including ongoing training, pre-trip briefings, performance observations, and appraisals.

Staff Rota and Meetings:
Guide the centre managers in the completion of weekly and daily working rotas for Activity staff.
Take part in and/or lead a variety of meetings with management, staff, host college, and vendor personnel.

Student Safety and Welfare:
Ensure high levels of student safety and welfare are maintained in line with Statutory, Accreditation, and Company guidance.

Qualifications

Management Experience: Previous management experience in a summer school environment, managing multiple departments and teams.
Coaching and Sports/Team Management: Experience in coaching, sports/team management, with a minimum of 1 year of professional experience working with children.
Summer School Experience: Previous Summer School experience and/or experience working with international students is essential.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will be working remotely with the rest of the management team from January 2024 on a part time basis, with objectives set monthly by the Operations Manager.
From June 2024 until the end of August the candidate will be based in Ramsgate with accommodation provided.
The salary will be discussed at interview, as full time salary is currently 1075GBP per full-time residential week.
