Job Summary

Details of Position

We are a well-established, independent school based in Lombardy. The school is an Authorised Cambridge Exam Platinum Centre. Due to continued expansion we are seeking to recruit 2 teachers to our established team. We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic teachers who are comfortable working with a variety of ages and levels. We are particularly looking for teachers who are confident & comfortable working with Young Learners. We work with students from the age of 3 upwards and from level A1 to C2. We require teachers to be qualified to CELTA, CELT-P, CELT-S level or equivalent and to have a minimum of 1 year experience. English language competencies at C2 level. Sound experience of teaching English to groups of children and/or teenagers.

Teachers should have the ability to give and get effective feedback to support learning.
Experience in Cambridge exam preparation will be an advantage but we can offer training. All teachers will be involved in exam preparation. A driving licence is essential along with the ability to drive in Italy. Lessons take place on site in school and off site in state schools and local companies.


It would be desirable:
A degree in linguistics, modern languages and/or education/pedagogy
Experience of teaching with CLIL methodology in primary or secondary settings
Experience of teaching on Cambridge exam preparation courses
Experience of teaching very young learners (3-6 years)
Experience of teaching one-to-one and group courses online

Job Summary

An average of 25 contact hours per week. It is essential to work evenings, split shifts and Saturdays. Preparation time additional. Providing well prepared lessons to all students. Maintaining class registers. Allocating homework, correction of homework. Preparation of reports when required. Assistance provided by DoS and Admin staff.
Invigilate Cambridge exam sessions during the busy exam periods.
