International House Valladolid is looking for 1 full time teacher with an immediate start. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of teaching experience and a CELTA although some other qualifications will be considered


This role involves teaching up to 24 hours a week (split shifts) of lessons to both Young Learners and adult learners. The role involves classes both in our centers in Valladolid and at some off-site locations such as local partner schools. Whilst Monday to Thursday can feel very intense less teaching happens on Friday and there is a robust professional development program that is flexible to all teachers schedules and tailor made to individual teachers according to what stage they are at in their career.

The role involves teaching from Monday to Friday only and is not an hourly paid position. The role includes paid holiday over Christmas and Easter the NET salary will be 1250 EUR a month. The gross salary is higher.

The school can help with the obtainment of Spanish documentation such as NIE numbers, Social Security numbers and health cards. We cannot organise visas for people from outside of the EU.

Vallaldolid is a small city in the North of Spain. It has fantastic transport links to the rest of the country including an airport with flights to Barcelona and a train station with direct trains to San Sebastian and a high speed link to Madrid. Valladolid has all the things you would expect to find in a historic Spanish city including prestigious university, cathedral, a plethora of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets and a multitude of pretty squares and gardens. The cost of living is substantially cheaper than in tourist hot spots such as San Sebastian and Barcelona.
