Black & White Centre language school was founded 1994. Our objective was to improve the level of English in Albacete especially speaking and listening which were not encouraged at that time. The school is continually growing and has sixteen members of staff. The maximum number of students per class in the school is eight, thus we are able to give a more personalised class and really get to know our students and their needs. We pride ourselves on quality teaching in a fun environment.

Details of Position

Well established school (30th anniversary 2024).- looking for General English teacher for primary , secondary and adults. Timetable Monday to Fridays, generally afternoon and evening work. Homogeneous groups-min 5 max.9
We work with set text books and syllabuses that are tried and tested and encourage creativity at all times.All classrooms have a projector, laptop , whiteboard and all teaching resources necessary. Vast range of additional materials available i.e educational games, realia,etc.Help and support provided. Approachable management team.Preparation of official exams such as Cambridge,Trinity, Language cert, etc.

Variety of age groups from teens to adults.
Possibility of teaching Business English in local companies.

External training and several social events also provided at no cost to the teachers.
Help is provided to find accomodation and process your necessary paperwork.
Albacete is a medium-sized university town that offers all the commodities of a large city in an easy to get around environment.Very well located.One and a half hours from Alicante, Murcia and Valencia and two hours from Madrid.Good train and coach services.
Friendly local people, great local wine and specialities and stunning surrounding villages in the province. Great place to soak up the Spanish culture and language

TEFL Certificate

Any teaching qualification is welcome but we value experience and passion for teaching more than anything

Salary and Benefits

from €1,250 / month gross

salary is based on previous experience, etc.

Minimum starting salary 1,250 euros gross- salary depends on qualifications, experience , experience of exam preparation, level of Spanish
Possibility of obtaining salary increments according to performance.
Staff meetings are also renumerated.

Job Summary

You will be assigned several groups (varying levels) and you will be responsible for looking after their needs and progress during the year.
You will be provided with both external and internal training and can also get involved in NEW PROJECTS that we have created for this course
i.e using English outside the classroom setting.
