Details of Position
Atena School, a private language school in Calabria, Southern Italy, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Native or Native-Level English Teacher to join our team for the 2026/2027 academic year.
We are a Trinity College London Registered Centre Registration No. 76150 and we also prepare students for Cambridge English examinations.
THE POSITION
We are looking for a teacher with at least some previous teaching experience, who is passionate about working with children and teenagers and enjoys creating engaging, communicative and motivating lessons.
The position involves teaching English language courses to young learners and teenagers, with students of different ages and levels.
REQUIREMENTS
Native English speaker or native-level English proficiency
A minimum of previous teaching experience is required
Experience working with children and/or teenagers is highly desirable
A degree in Humanities, Languages, Education/Pedagogy or a related field is a plus
Enthusiastic, patient, reliable and motivated
Excellent communication and classroom-management skills
A genuine passion for teaching English and working with young learners
Familiarity with Trinity and/or Cambridge English examinations is an advantage
CONTRACT & HOURS
Part-time position 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, mainly afternoon hours, in accordance with the applicable Italian CCNL.
Start: Beginning of October 2026
End: End of June 2027
ACCOMMODATION
We can offer the possibility of renting a centrally located accommodation for approximately 400 per month + utilities.
Accommodation is optional and is not a requirement of the position.

Cambridge CELTA, Cambridge CELTA online, Trinity CertTESOL, BA TEFL, BA TESOL, ESL Certificate, TEFL Certificate, TESOL Certificate , Trinity TEYL, Trinity Joint CertTESOL, Cambridge DELTA, Cambridge DELTA Online, Masters MA TESOL, MA Linguistics, PhD Linguistics, Trinity Diploma in TESOL Education Studies, Certificate in English Language Teaching Skills (Primary)
Teaching experience: 2 years
Native level English speaker preferred
Qualifications
Cambridge CELTA
CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL / TESOL / TEFL certification
Degree in Languages, English, Linguistics, Education, Pedagogy or Humanities
Experience with Cambridge English and/or Trinity examinations
Experience teaching children and teenagers
Young Learner / CLIL qualifications
Previous experience in a private language school

Working hours: 15 hours per week, part-time
Gross monthly salary: approximately 993.53, paid over 13 monthly instalments
