About us
Nevy's Language is a platform for live, online group English classes for adult and Children immigrants in Canada and the USA.
We provide affordable learning for immigrants to North America by providing low cost, live classes.
Most of our classes run in the evening, but we have classes running all day for students in Canada and the USA.
We also offer "substitue teachers" in the event a teacher needs to cancel a class.
Our Students
Our students are 25-45 year old adults immigrants.
Our kids range from the age of 6-16 years old.
They are based in Canada and the USA.
75% of our students are at Level 2 or below, i.e. beginners!
Most of our students work during the day and can only take classes in the evening and some on the weekend
Our Levels
- We offer six levels: Literacy, Foundation, Starter, Beginner, Elementary and Pre-Intermediate
- We offer separate Grammar and Conversational classes.
- Each level is between 2 and 16 weeks long.
- We provide you with the teaching materials and teacher guides.
- 75% of our groups are Starter and Beginner levels.

Great attitude and enthusiasm for your students.
We are looking for teachers who are patient and treat our students with kindness.
High energy levels.
Excellent teaching styles.
Certification such as TEFL/TESL Canada/TESOL/CELTA or equivalent teaching experience.
Comfort and speed with technology. High quality headset, microphone and camera. 30+ Mbps internet speed.
Minimum commitment to teach
The minimum commitment to teach with us is 4 months. After the 4 months you stay with the group as long as you like, and depending on the student attendance.
This means that if you assign yourself to a group, you have to stay with them for 4 months. If you leave before the 4 months are over, there will be a deduction of pay. This is to deter teachers from selecting groups that they are not ready to teach.
Abandoning a group within the 1st week will result in the forfeiture of payment for that group.
Please note that we have a very strict absence policy and teachers are held to a code of conduct. Only 1 absence per calendar month is permitted.

How we pay
We pride ourselves in being an affordable learning option for students, so students pay CAD $3, $4 and $5/hour for classes. Pay is per group monthly. You can make CAD $200 per month per group .
The rate is prorated if you take on the group during the month.
Invoices are issued on the 1st of every month for the previous month's work. We also offer direct deposit!
You can take on up to 9 groups including a weekend group. We have an internal board where we post available groups. Some teachers teach 3 groups only while others do 8 groups a day!
Job Summary
We run group English classes.
Each group is taught by one teacher and has up to 6-8 students.
We have six levels of English and offer several times of the day for each level. Each group has a time and a level associated with it.
For example, we have a 8am Starter, 9am Starter, 10am Starter, etc.
Most of our classes run at night and in the Eastern (New York) time zone.
A group meets every day from Monday to Friday at the same time.
