Job Summary

Details of Position

Capital School of English is a family-run, independent language school. Our school is located on the south coast of England in a seaside town, Bournemouth. We are a British Council accredited school.

ADULT COURSE: We are looking for energetic, creative, dynamic and highly motivated EFL Teachers to deliver General English lessons to students on our adult courses (aged 16+) in both our year-round school (immediate start) and summer school (contracts can start in June and July for 4 to 12 weeks).

YOUNG LEARNER CENTRE: We are looking for energetic, creative, dynamic and highly motivated EFL Teachers to deliver project based General English lessons to students on our young learner courses (aged 12-16) in our summer school (contracts start July 3rd or 10th for 4-5 weeks).

You MUST be legally entitled to work in the UK.

We can offer between 15-30 hours of teaching per week (09:00-17:00, Monday-Friday) depending on your preferences/availability and levels of demand within the school.

Degree Required

Applicants should have one of the following required qualifications:
Cambridge CELTA, Cambridge CELTA online, Trinity CertTESOL, Cambridge CELTYL, BA TEFL, BA TESOL, TEFL Certificate, TESOL Certificate, Trinity Joint CertTESOL, Cambridge DELTA, Cambridge DELTA Online, Trinity DipTESOL, MA TEFL, Masters MA TESOL, MA

Native level English speaker preferred

Qualifications

You must have
- degree
- TEFL qualification (CELTA, Trinity, or equivalent with at least 6 hours supervised teaching practice and at 100 hours of ELT/TESOL input)
- Native level in English
- Computer literate

NO experience required.

We are looking for teachers who have:
-Contagious high energy level that makes students want to learn
-Ability to create working relationships and are a team worker but can work well on own initiative
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Salary and Benefits

- Hourly pay rate starts at £15 per hour for TEFL qualified teachers and depends on other qualifications and experience.
- Statutory holiday entitlement of 5.6 weeks holiday pro-rata.

- Approximately 15-30 hours of teaching per week (09:00-17:00, Monday-Friday) depending on your preferences/availability and levels of demand within the school.
- Paid induction prior to your employment.
- Paid training and professional development throughout your employment.
- New teachers to Capital School will be supported by the Academic Team and assigned a mentor to provide assistance with administration and technical queries.

- NO social or residential duties.
