Details of Position

We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced and committed teachers who share our commitment to excellence to work at one of our centres this summer.

Our courses run in Spring and Summer (March 28th to April 12th and July 6th to August 17th) and we have 2,4 and 6 week contracts available.

Job Details
The duties and responsibilities are numerous and will often change however this section outlines a reasonable guideline. Teachers will be expected to:
To help with testing and placement of students
To provide EFL instruction
To organise, promote and get involved in Academic Activities
To attend regular staff meetings and development sessions
To monitor and record student attendance
To ensure academic paperwork is returned to Director of Studies
Maintain constant vigilance regarding the students wellbeing at all times
Ensure that the DSP policy on child safeguarding/student welfare is followed at all times
Assist line manager as required

All references will be checked and will include a specific enquiry as to whether there is any impediment to you being employed in a situation where you will have responsibility for, substantial access to, and care of children under 18;
An enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check will be made prior to commencement of appointment;
Where appropriate foreign police checks will be required.
Proof of identity and all relevant qualifications will be required and photocopies taken of the original certificates;
Any gaps in your employment history must be explained satisfactorily

Qualifications

A university degree and recognised teacher training qualification
(CELTA,Trinity Cert, TESOL, Primary Teaching or equivalent)
A positive and outgoing personality
A positive and enthusiastic attitude to young people
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to work as part of a small team
Confidence in leading
The ability to learn quickly, to adapt and react calmly in all situations
High levels of energy

Salary and Benefits

From £465.00 per week (+ holiday pay) for residential staff and £525.00 per week (+holiday pay) for non residential staff.
We are looking for residential and non residential teachers - no deductions made for food or accommodation.

Job Summary

The main duties of a teacher are to provide EFL instruction to the international students on our programme however teachers also have an important part to play in the success of the social programme through the Academic Activities which normally take place in the afternoon. In addition, there will be opportunities for teachers to run Conversation Clubs for students and prepare students for Trinity Exams at the end of the course.
