Details of Position

Select English is an independent, British Council accredited school based in Cambridge. We are now recruiting for a summer school ADoS position on a residential course based at Culford School in Bury St Edmunds.

30th June to 3rd August 2024.

Select English is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share this commitment. We do not appoint without interview and require a minimum of two references plus proof of identity and qualifications. Reference requests will ask specifically whether there is any reason why an applicant should not work with children. All gaps in employment must be explained satisfactorily. Enhanced DBS or Police checks will be required. We ask all staff to comply with our Code of Practice.

Applicants should have one of the following required qualifications:
Cambridge DELTA, Cambridge DELTA Online, Trinity DipTESOL, Masters MA TESOL, MA TEFL, International diploma in Language Teaching Management (IDLTM), Trinity Diploma in TESOL Education Studies

Teaching experience: 4 years

Salary and Benefits

£620 per week plus an additional 12.07% in lieu of holiday pay (£694 per week in total). Accommodation and meals are provided. One week pre-course induction and training in Cambridge.

Job Summary

- Help with the preparation for and setting up of summer courses
- Observe lessons and offer additional support where needed
- Manage and maintain resources for all courses
- Prepare and lead weekly teacher training workshops together with the DoS
- Provide cover at short notice, if necessary
- Be available in staff room to help teachers with planning
- Create materials
- Work together with other Select staff to ensure smooth and efficient running of the summer course
