Details of Position
We can support you with accommodation in a single, en-suite room with full-board should you wish to stay with us. We offer contracts of 15-30 hours teaching per week, giving you plenty of free time to relax and explore historic Canterbury and our surrounding areas. Our English Language School is situated just a 5-minute walk from Canterbury city centre. It could be the working holiday you've been looking for!
From June to early August each year, we welcome groups of young, international students onto our Summer Study Programmes. Our EFL Teachers are welcomed into our friendly teaching team at Stafford House School, where you will teach general English classes, with the potential to teach exam classes as well.
We welcome experienced and newly qualified teachers, as we help to support your training and development.
Qualifications
- CELTA or DELTA or MA Qualified
- Degree or equivalent required
- Teaching experience preferred but not essential
- You must already have UK Right to work (sorry, we cannot sponsor you or support you to obtain a visa)
- You must be available from the beginning of July 2024 for a minimum of 3 consecutive weeks. You can choose your contract between 23rd June and the end of August 2024.

Hourly rate: between £17.79 - £20.12 per contact hour (teaching) plus holiday entitlement
(Additional duties if applicable) paid at £12.78 per hour
Full board accommodation may be available for a salary deduction of £69.93 per week
