Celtic English Academy, established in 2004, is a friendly and welcoming British Council accredited English language school in the centre of Cardiff. We take pride in our small class sizes, great teachers and wonderful support staff. For the past 20 years we have been offering a range of classes to both adults and younger learners.

Due to the success of our 2023 Junior Summer Programme in Monmouth, we will be running the programme once again in 2024. Situated in the charming border market town of Monmouth within the historical county of Monmouthshire, the Haberdashers Monmouth School is hosting our 2024 Junior Summer Programme.

The aim of the Junior Summer Programme is to provide:
-15 hours of engaging lessons weekly to improve communicative competence and language skills to students aged 11-17.
-Teachers with full lesson plans and materials specifically designed to fit the needs of our students.
-A communicative approach in lessons and integrate general English, British culture, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
-A maximum class size of 15 students
-The opportunity for students to participate in afternoon and evening activities such as sports and arts & crafts.
-Two half-day excursions and one full-day excursion

This position presents an exceptional opportunity to teach young learners from all over the world in a single classroom. JSP Teachers will be responsible for:
Preparing and delivering approximately 15 hours of engaging English lessons a week
Improving the communicative competence of the younger learners
Attending training sessions and meetings
Completing reports and certificates
Assisting with some boarding duties
Assisting with and leading a minimum of 20 hours social activities per week
Welcoming new students on arrival day.

Cambridge CELTA, Cambridge DELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, Trinity DipTESOL

Teaching experience: 1 years

Native level English speaker preferred
