Details of Position
We have vacancies for a Centre Director, Director of Studies, residential and non-residential teachers, an Activity Manager and Activity Leaders.
Positions are available for between 2 and 6 weeks in the UK and Dublin.
The Centre Director’s key responsibility is the smooth and efficient running of all aspects of the centre. S/he takes responsibility for the overall success of the course, ensuring that lessons and the leisure programme are delivered to our high standards. The CD is expected to take on and successfully handle a demanding workload which involves implementing, participating and monitoring the day-to-day management of the Centre.
The DOS main role is to advise and support teachers in the delivery of lessons, and conduct a weekly in-house training session. They also observe teachers and provide feedback on performance. It is a management position and the DOS should enjoy being involved in all aspects of the course and be able to support the other members of the management team.
Teachers will teach English classes of maximum 15 students in well equipped classrooms (all have internet access). They teach 15 hours a week (Mon-Fri) and residential teachers are involved in the activity and excurusion programme which runs in the afternoons and evenings.
The Activity Manager is responsible for the successful and smooth delivery of the activity and excursion programme and will manage a team of activity leaders. It is a management position and the applicant should enjoy being part of a close knit team and supporting the other team members.
Activity Leaders inject life, fun and enthusiasm into the activity and excursion programme ensuring our students have a fantastic time in a safe and secure environment.
All residential staff have one day off per week.
All residential posts include full board accommodation.

QualificationsCentre Director - Previous summer school experience and experience of managing staff in an educational setting.
Director of Studies - DELTA/DipTESOL qualified (or equivalent).
A University Degree.
Excellent administration & communication skills.
Previous summer school experience and experience of managing staff in an educational setting desirable.
Teachers - CELTA qualified (or equivalent)
A University degree.
Good classroom management
Previous summer school experience an advantage
Activity Manager - No formal qualifications required but sporting certificates desirable.
Experience of working with children and in a summer school environment an advantage
Activity Leaders - No formal qualifications required.
Qualifications / experience in working with children, art, drama, dance and sports would be an advantage.
Salary and BenefitsCentre Director - £620 pw + holiday pay
DOS - £520 pw + holiday pay
Activity Manager - £450 pw + holiday pay
Residential teachers - £335 pw + holiday pay
Non-res teachers £16 ph + holiday pay
Activity Leaders - £280 pw + holiday pay
Pay for Dublin positions available upon request.
Full board accommodation provided at no extra cost for all residential staff.
