Job Summary

Responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of the teaching team, including recruitment, induction and scheduling of staff; administration and successful delivery of the academic programme and cycle, including both teacher and student pathways.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential:

Must comply with ACELS employability requirements associated with the DOS position (at minimum degree and DELTA/equivalent required with a record of ongoing career development)

Knowledge and/or experience of best practice in language school academic management and compliance with national and international accreditation and regulatory frameworks

8 - 10 years English Language Teaching experience at all levels

Teacher observation and teacher development experience

Team leadership / People management with excellent communication and organisational skills

Proficiency in time management and demonstrable record of computer proficiency

Desirable:

Experience of academic management of both Adult and Young Learner centres

Experience of ELT in an international context

Experience of curriculum cycle development, planning to assessment, and syllabus writing

Experience of academic management and co-ordination of teacher training courses/ESP

Demonstrable ICT ability, e.g. online learning, blended learning, management platforms

Familiarity with EAQUALS accreditation of language schools and associated Quality Assurance

Salary and Benefits

35k - negotiable, depending on experience.
