1. Carry out the timetable of classes assigned by the DOS
2. Give lessons to the highest standards of English language teaching
3. Become familiar with the programs and courses of study at the center
4. Develop and use suitable supplementary materials as necessary
5. Use audio / video materials in classes
6. Expose students to the use of CALL, and the Internet for language learning purposes

- Developing & implementing academic curriculum & educational programs
- Coordinating with team members to align the curriculum with the educationaal goals
- Monitoring students & teachers progress, providing feedback
- Conducting workshops to develop teachers'specific competencies
- Reviewing & updating academic policies & procedures
- Maintaining records of academic performance, progress, and attendance;
- Supporting/ being involved in school outreach events
- Handling issues &supporting staff

We are seeking highly motivated educators to teach English as the sole instructor in the classrooms of elementary schools or secondary schools in Japan.

The Senior Teacher will be responsible for the effective running of the academic side of the Summer School programme, managing a team of approximately 10 EFL teachers, including carrying out observations and providing feedback, as well as providing academic advice and weekly INSET sessions. Candidates with availability for the full 8 weeks are strongly preferred for this role.

The primary responsibilities are the preparation and effective delivery of EFL classes on our Summer School programme, through project-based learning. Teachers can expect to teach two 90-minutes classes per day for five days per week, and to supervise and accompany students on one full-day excursion per week. For residential staff, duties will also include assisting on the social programme on some evenings and carrying out pastoral duties, such as bedtime and wake-up.
