Details of Position
Professional Language Solutions is looking for four English instructors (two male and two female) to work on back-to-back 28-day rotations at an oilfield camp in Basra, Iraq.
The first rotation will start in mid to late August, with the second rotation commencing in mid to late September.
Teaching Duties
- Teaching five days per week, approximately 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break at around 11:30 a.m.
- Normally no teaching on weekends (Friday and Saturday). These days will be dedicated to administrative work, lesson planning, and meetings with local management.

Requirements
- Native-level speaker
- Previous experience in Iraq and/or on rotational contracts preferred
- Minimum of five years relevant teaching experience
- DELTA or Diploma-level teaching qualification preferred
- Ability to mobilise within the specified start dates

Salary and Benefits
Rotational Schedule
- Rate: $175 USD per on day
- Each instructor will work a 28-days-on/28-days-off rotation and will be paid for the actual number of days spent in country.
- Instructors will be paid for all national public holidays that fall during their on-rotation period.
- For travel days, instructors will either receive half a days pay for each travel day or a full days pay for the outbound travel day only, with no payment for the return travel day.
The initial training programme is expected to run for a minimum of six months, with the likelihood of continuing for approximately 18 months.
