Details of Position
ANG School is looking for experienced, TEFL-qualified English teachers to join our team for the academic year (September-May).
We emphasize a communicative approach, a positive and supportive learning environment, and high teaching standards.
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, TEFL-qualified teachers who enjoy working with learners of all ages, especially children and teenagers. Experience teaching Young Learners, Very Young Learners, and/or IELTS preparation classes would be an advantage.
Our students range from complete beginners to advanced learners. The position would suit energetic, adaptable, and well-organized teachers who can create engaging, dynamic, and varied lessons while maintaining high teaching standards.
We are a friendly and professional language school with an excellent local reputation. ANG School was founded in 2011 and is located in Liepja, a beautiful city on the Baltic Sea coast.

- Native-level English speaker or equivalent (C2).
- EU national or legally entitled to reside and work in Latvia. Candidates must have permission to work in the EU or hold a valid work permit for employment in Latvia.
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience. Experience teaching Very Young Learners (ages 45) and/or IELTS preparation classes would be an advantage.
- TEFL, CELTA, CELTYL, DELTA, or another recognized teaching qualification is essential.
- University degree.
- Enthusiasm for teaching children and teenagers.
- Online teaching experience is preferred.
- A clean criminal record check.
- Willingness to teach both groups and one-to-one classes. The majority of our group classes have 610 students.
- Commitment to working with us for the full academic year, from September 2026 to May 2027.

Salary and Benefits
Competitive monthly salary according to experience
Full-time contracts (part-time positions may also be available) for 9 months, until 31 May, with the possibility of extending the contract by mutual agreement. Teachers may work either as employees or on a self-employed basis.
Competitive local salary starting from 1,100 net per month for a full-time position, depending on qualifications and experience, providing a comfortable standard of living in Latvia. Social security contributions are included.
Paid holidays in accordance with the employment contract.
22 teaching hours (60 minutes) per week, equivalent to approximately 30 academic hours (45 minutes). Additional hours may be available if desired.
Assistance with finding accommodation (approximately 250 per month, plus utility bills).
