Abbotsholme School is recruiting TeacherActivity Leaders to join our international summer school team. This is a varied and rewarding role combining classroom teaching with leading sports, activities, excursions and evening events for students aged 1118.

Set within a traditional British boarding school campus in the countryside, the Abbotsholme Summer School offers international students a programme combining English language learning, outdoor activities, sports, cultural excursions and enrichment experiences.

TeacherActivity Leaders play a key role in creating a fun, safe and engaging environment for students while supporting both the academic and activity programmes.

Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging lessons to international students
- Leading afternoon sports, games and enrichment activities
- Supporting evening entertainment and social events
- Supervising students during excursions and off-site visits
- Ensuring high standards of student welfare and safeguarding
- Acting as a positive role model within the residential school community

Essential:
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CELTA, TEFL or equivalent)
- Experience working with young people aged 1118
- Enthusiastic and confident leading groups and activities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable:

• Experience in summer schools, camps or residential programmes
• Skills in sport, outdoor education, performing arts or leadership activities
• This is an excellent opportunity to gain teaching, leadership and international experience while working as part of a dynamic summer school team.

Cambridge CELTA

PGCE / CELTA or TEFL

Total weekly pay

• Non-residential staff: £610
• Residential staff: £533 (£77 per week is deducted for accommodation and full board)
• 12.07% holiday pay will be added to your salary

Working Hours
Total of up to 44 hours per week

Made up of:

• Teaching: 5 sessions of 3 hours per week 15 hours
• Activity Sessions: up to 29 hours per week including weekends as per rota
• Activity session duration 3 4 hours
• Full day excursions duration up to 10 hours
• Attendance at daily briefing meetings required
