International House Guayaquil is a friendly, well established small language school located in the modern business sector of Guayaquil which is the second city of Ecuador. We affiliated to the International House World Organisation in 2012. IH Guayaquil is an Authorised Exam for Cambridge English and an IELTS venue for the British Council. IH Guayaquil is considered to be the leading English language school in the city and aims to offer the highest standard of teaching and learning with the best customer service.

Currently there are approximately 12 teachers working at IH Guayaquil and most of them are non-native speakers working on hourly paid contracts. Our students are all ages and all levels. We have face-to-face Saturday classes for Young Learners and Teens and online classes that are predominantly for adult professionals.

We are looking for a DELTA qualified teacher with some experience managing and supporting other teachers. The DOS must be an excellent practioner both in the classroom as well as online, with all ages and all levels. International House Guayaquil require all our teachers to be reflective and willing to engage positively with regular professional development sessions that are lead by the DOS. Teachers are also observed by the DOS on a regular cycle and required to deliver excellent classes for their students.

Cambridge DELTA

Ideally the successful candidate will have experience preparing students for Cambridge Exams and IELTS. It would be useful if she/he has experience working as a Speaking Examiner for Cambridge and/or IELTS as well.

Salary $1500 per month.

4 weeks paid leave per year.
