SUMMER SCHOOL TEACHERS, ACTIVITY LEADERS AND MANAGEMENT AT ABBEY COLLEGE IN MALVERN 2026

Exciting opportunities at Abbey College in Malvern. We have another huge Summer School, running from mid-June until the end of August and have vacancies for a variety of roles including English Teachers, Activity Leaders and Head of Activities.

Abbey College is a British Council affiliated college. Teacher candidates must be Cambridge CELTA/Trinity TESOL qualified (min 6hrs supervised teaching practice & 100 hours input). PGCE or QTS in associated subjects (e.g., English Language, Modern Languages) may be considered. Weekend/Internet/Correspondence TEFL qualifications will not be accepted. Applicants should hold a first degree or equivalent and must be able to speak English to native level. Newly qualified teachers are welcome and will be supported. Candidates should have experience working with teenagers or children.

Cambridge CELTA

SHORT COURSE TEACHERS:
6-day week (Based on 42 hours, up to 20 hours of which is teaching, the rest is activities / excursions or residential duties).
£550 per week + Holiday entitlement. There will also be an additional £15 per week completion bonus to be paid at the end of the contract.

5-Day Week (Based on 25 hours, up to 20 hours of which is teaching, the rest is activities / excursions or residential duties). Residential and non-residential available.

£458 per week + Holiday entitlement. There will also be an additional £15 per week completion bonus to be paid at the end of contract.
The usual bonus increments are also available: Returner bonus (maximum 3) of £10, Higher EFL Qualification (Delta, MA) - £50 and first aid qualified - £15.

ACTIVITY LEADERS:
6-day week (Based on 42 hours). Residential and non-residential available.

A range from £450 per week - £520 per week + Holiday entitlement. There will also be an additional £15 per week completion bonus to be paid at the end of the contract.
5-Day Week (Based on 35 hours).
A range from £375 per week - £435 per week + Holiday entitlement. There will also be an additional £15 per week completion bonus to be paid at the end of the contract.

There is an additional £15 per week for being a trained lifeguard, a qualified coach and a trained first aider.

HEAD OF ACTIVITIES:
6-day week (Based on 42 hours)
£600-700 per week + Holiday entitlement. There will also be an additional £15 per week completion bonus to be paid at the end of the contract.
