ANG school is looking for TEFL qualified English teachers with some experience for 3 months (March-May).

We emphasize the communicative approach and a relaxing atmosphere for learning as well as a high standard of teaching.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, energetic TEFL qualified teacher, who enjoys working with all age groups (especially children and teenagers). Experience with Young Learners/ Very Young learners or/and IELTS preparation classes is an advantage. Levels ranging from complete beginners to Advance level. The position suits sea and nature lovers, as well as very organized and fun people who can teach English while entertaining students in fun and dynamic, varied activities.

We are a friendly, professional school with an excellent local reputation. ANG school was founded in 2011 and it is located in Liepaja, a beautiful town (with a population of about 80.000) on the coast of the Baltic Sea.

Qualifications

- You must be native level speaker of English or equivalent (C2)

- EU national or hold the relevant documents to reside and work in Latvia.(Candidates must have permission to work in the EU or hold a valid work permit for employment in Latvia. We will not be able to consider applications that do not meet with these requirements.)

- 2 years RELEVANT teaching experience (Very young learners 4 & 5 year olds if possible or/and IELTS preparation classes)

- TEFL, CELTA, CELTYL, DELTA or other advanced pedagogical qualification; essential.

- University degree

- Enthusiasm for teaching children

- Teaching online experience: preferred

- Have a clean DBS check

- Happy to teach both groups and 1:1 (the majority of classes is with groups of 6 to 10 students)

- Committed to working with us for at least until June 2026.

Salary and Benefits

Full Time Contracts (part time possible) for 3 months (until 31st May) with the possibility to extend the contract if it is of interest to both sides. Teachers can either work as employees, or under their own business licence.
Ongoing teacher development.

Good local salary (range 1000 - 1200 NET) according to qualifications and experience, which affords teachers a comfortable standard of living.

22 (60min) teaching hours, which is equivalent to 30 (45min) hours of teaching per week, more hours may be available if desired.

Help finding accommodation (~250 Euro/month plus utility bills).
