Job Summary

Details of Position

Our students are aged 9-15 (Juniors), 15-17 (teenagers) and 18+ (adults)

Contract dates:

  • Junior programme Oxford: from 08/07/26 to 20/08/26

  • Teen programme Oxford: from 21/06/26 to 15/08/26

We are looking for teachers to join us for a minimum of three weeks.

  • Teen programme Merrist Wood (Guildford): from 12/07/26 to 1/08/26

We are looking for teachers to join us for a minimum of two weeks.

Weekly pay:

  • Junior programme: Starting at £685.04 before holiday pay (38-hour contract)

  • Teenager programme: Starting at £527.21 before holiday pay (21-hour teaching only contract)

  • Teenager programme Merrist Wood Guildford: Starting at £651.60 before holiday pay (38-hour contract)

Working hours:

Juniors Oxford:

  • 18 lessons per week + 2-hour paid-CPD session every week

  • Leading activities and pastoral care 18 hours per week. 6-day week.

  • Total weekly hours: 38.

Teenagers and adults Oxford:

  • Teaching a 5-day week, Monday to Friday, 21 hours per week.

  • 2-hour paid-CPD session every week.

Teenager programme Merrist Wood Guildford:

  • Teaching 15 lessons per week + 2 hours CPD

  • Leading activities and undertaking pastoral duties 15 hours per week.

  • Supervising electives for 6 hours a week.

Our aim is to create an environment which allows students to get the most out of their time in the wonderful city of Oxford; a stay founded in education and cultural learnings but filled with fun. We are seeking staff to help this become a reality in a safe and supervised setting meeting the high standards that St Clares has set for 70 years. An interest in working with young people and maintaining high standards of pastoral care are vital to both roles.

Qualifications

Education and qualifications:

University Degree in any discipline or demonstrable experience in a similar environment for two years or more. (E)
CELTA or Trinity College TESOL (or Accreditation-UK recognised equivalent) or PGCE (in English or MFL) (E)
Applicants with the DELTA, QTS (Primary or Secondary) or CELTYL, are particularly welcomed. (D)
