Details of Position
ABC Education Group offers a full range of English language learning programmes for young learners in the UK. Our lessons include a focus on British life & culture with teachers preparing students to produce an end of course presentation where they show off what they have learned from their lessons, excursions, and experiences whilst in the UK.

ABC Education Group is recruiting creative, professional EFL teachers, Directors of Studies, Centre Managers, Activity Managers, Welfare Managers and Activity Leaders for residential positions in several locations across the UK. EFL Teacher
We use the most modern and effective approaches to develop learners and help them achieve their English language goals. Our lessons include a focus on British life & culture with teachers preparing students to produce an end of course presentation where they show off what they have learned from their lessons, excursions, and experiences whilst in the UK. Zig-zag teaching positions are all 38-hour, six-day week contracts. Total teaching hours is 33hrs 20 mins Monday to Friday, followed by 4hr 40mins of paid CPD and lesson planning time on Saturdays Positions can be residential or non-residential.
Director of Studies
We are looking for DELTA or Trinity Diploma qualified educators who can lead and inspire a teaching team. The DoS is responsible for ensuring that the standard of teaching meets high expectations, and they need to be able to support, develop and motivate teachers. You will ensure all academic administration is organised and completed on team and be able to monitor all aspects of the teaching and learning in a summer camp. This is a residential position.
Centre Manager
We are looking for experienced Centre Managers to run our camps in the UK. This role is for someone who can manage teams in a fast paced, often continuously changing, environment. You need to be highly organised, resourceful and approachable. Time management skills and the ability to work under pressure are key. You will have your own management team, which includes a Director of Studies, who in turn manages their academic team, an Activity Manager and an Assistant Manager (Welfare). Alongside this is a team of Activity Leaders who deliver the activity programme. The position is residential and we provide you with full-board accommodation throughout your time with us.
Activity Manager
The Activity Manager in the person responsible for the delivery of the activity programme on campus. This can be anything from an on-site sports activity, to a full day excursion to another city. The social programme on any summer camp forms a crucial part of the students experience, as it is here that they will form some of their best memories. You are responsible for your team of Activity Leaders who will deliver this programme. We provide you with a wealth of resources to run these programmes. The position is residential and we provide you with full-board accommodation throughout your time with us.
Assistant Manager (Welfare)
The key duties to this role is the welfare of our students while they are with us. Empathy, approachability, and a can-do attitude are key attributes for this position. You will receive extensive safeguarding training and will be introduced to all students as the first point of contact, should they have any welfare issues. The position is also about identifying issues before they may become more serious. Previous experience in a similar role would be very beneficial but not essential.
Activity Leader
We are looking for enthusiastic and confident people to be part of a team that will not only run and organise activities for our international students, but also be responsible for their safeguarding and welfare. Previous experience is not a pre-requisite, you will receive training in all elements of the role including the safeguarding of juniors. The main part duty is organising and running activities for students. These activities can range from a multi-sports day to talent shows and more. You will also take the groups on a number of pre-arranged excursions linked to our academic syllabus, which focuses on British life and culture. The role also incorporates pastoral care of students while they are with us. The position is residential and we provide you with full-board accommodation throughout your time with us.

Qualifications
Teachers need minimum CELTA/Trinity TESOL or BEd. / PGCE plus a Degree.
Directors of Study need to possess a TEFLQ qualification (DELTA or equivalent) plus a degree level qualification or equivalent, have considerable TEFL experience and experience of managing staff in an educational capacity. Previous residential summer school experience essential.
Please note we can only consider applicants who are already eligible to work in the United Kingdom. It is not possible for us to sponsor for work permits for fixed term summer camp positions.
Salary and Benefits
Residential staff work a 6-day week with meals and accommodation provided at the centre for all 7 days of the week.
Residential EFL Teacher £646.00 per week (based on a 38hr working week)
Director of Studies £790-£840 per week (depending on experience)
Centre Manager £950-£1000 per week (depending on experience)
Activity Manager £735-£785 per week (depending on experience)
Assistant Manager (Welfare) £670-£700 per week (depending on experience)
Activity Leader (18-20 years old) £520.80 per week (based on a 48hr working week)
Activity Leader (21 years old and older) £610.08 per week (based on a 48hr working week)
Holiday pay is in addition to the above, paid at 12.07% of the hours worked.
