Do you want to work as a Teaching Assistant in a school while also acquiring an official qualification in the field of education?

Up International, in collaboration with Higher Education Institutions offers a Certificate of Higher Education in Early Childhood Education, an official programme of studies recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education which is done partly online and partly as a teaching assistant in a preschool or primary / secondary classroom.

The duration of this programme is two school years (no necessarily in a row) and not only will it be completely free for you but you will also receive a stipend while doing it and while working toward your official qualification as an educator.

In addition, with this official qualification, you will gain specialisation in educational techniques for Teaching Assistants.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

To be a Native English speaker (or equal level)
To Have legal permission to be or to study in Spain
To have received a university degree (desirable)
A qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language is recommended too.
Any kind of previous experience in working with children, its also valued

Salary and Benefits

SALARY

Grant of up to 1.100/month (variable upon the exact hours made) or equivalent with the possibility of earning extra money, as the terms and conditions do not demand exclusivity, as long as the economic activity does not interfere with the terms and conditions of the grant.

Daily lunch for free is typically provided by schools.

Holidays will be similar to those of the school: two weeks at Christmas, ten days at Easter as well as national and local holidays.

ASSISTANCE

The teaching assistants will receive all the support needed at the school and will be assigned a personal tutor, as well as all necessary support and help with the formalities and administrative requirements related to the role (residence card, Spanish Social Security number, Certificate of sexual abuse, health coverage, bank account, etc), finding accommodation. Moreover, they will be assigned an agent during the whole placement.
