Job Summary

Details of Position

We are looking for EFL teachers to join the team at Broadstairs English Centre - a year-round, British Council accredited language school in Broadstairs, Kent. British Council inspectors (2024) noted strengths in staff management, academic management, learning resources, course design, teaching and safeguarding.
The role involves teaching our innovative one- or two-week General English courses to international classes of teenagers throughout the year. Because students work from our in-house booklets, schemes of work and lesson materials are provided.
Applicants should live within reliable commuting distance of Broadstairs as this is not a residential position.

Qualifications

Degree (required)
Only applicants with a recognised EFL teaching qualification (CELTA or Trinity Cert. TESOL) will be considered. DELTA or Trinity Dip.TESOL are both highly desirable.
Successful applicants will need two referees and to complete a full DBS check before commencing work. Safeguarding training will be given.

Salary and Benefits

BBetween £57 and £80 per half-day depending on qualifications and experience.

Contracts with guaranteed hours starting from January; possibility of longer-term contracts for the right people.
