Details of Position
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and oversight to a small team of instructors, ensuring high standards in teaching delivery and academic performance.
Manage teaching staff schedules ensuring suitable staffing levels to support the smooth running of the operation.
Offer constructive feedback to teachers through observation and promote continuous professional growth and motivation.
Organise and lead staff meetings ensuring communication, collaboration, and alignment with academic objectives.
Design and develop thorough lesson plans and materials that support targeted learning and language acquisition.
Deliver engaging and learner-centred English lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs and proficiency levels of students.
Apply a communicative teaching methodology to effectively improve students skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Monitor and assess student progress regularly, offering constructive feedback to promote continuous academic growth and motivation.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes student participation and active engagement.
Provide classroom cover in the event of teacher absences to maintain consistency and continuity in learning.
Degree Required
Qualifications
Certificate of Good Conduct
One of the following:
Masters degree/ Level 7 in: TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English, Education, or related field + 1,000 teaching hours.
DELTA or DipTESOL (Cambridge/Trinity Diploma) + 1,000 teaching hours
A Level 6 (Bachelor) in English plus a Level 5 ELT certificate (e.g., CELTA) + 1,500 hours
Additionally:
ELT Teaching Experience 3-5 years
Academic Management Experience 2 years
Teacher Training Experience: Preferred
