Details of Position

Enhance your career in The Kent Institute, a well established private English school situated in the University area of Valencia since 1994.
Applicants should be qualified in TEFL, have a two year experience in a similar position and should be allowed to work in EU. They should also possess excellent spoken and written communication skills.

The course will be starting next October 1st but new teachers are required to be available from 18th September for the induction period. It will help the new hire feel welcomed, informed, and supported from the start. They will be offered guidance about teaching strategies, curriculum, procedure and practices so as to deliver lessons according to the school method and standard. Throughout the year, they will also enjoy full support from an experienced team, working in strong collaboration with colleagues and superiors.

Thanks to our high tech classrooms all equipped with interactive boards and broadband internet access, teaching has never been made so fun and easy. Teachers are granted access to online websites and platforms which enhance engagement, motivation and positive attitude towards learning.
They also enjoy small size groups with a maximum of ten students, strictly classified according to age and level, ensuring a high level of interaction in the classroom and ideal conditions for language teaching.

Typical tasks that should be carried out include:
- preparing creative and lesson plans based on the textbooks;
- delivering high quality and engaging lessons, using varied communicative language teaching methods;
- preparing students for Cambridge English Examinations;
- designing and marking exams and writing end of term reports;
- creating good rapport with students, peers and superiors;
- maintaining classroom management to foster engagement and maximum progress;

Applicants should have one of the following required qualifications:
Cambridge CELTA, Trinity CertIBET, Cambridge CELTA online, Trinity CertTESOL, TEFL Certificate, ESL Certificate, Cambridge DELTA

Teaching experience: 2 years

Native level English speaker preferred

Qualifications

- Native or bilingual speaker with high proficiency in the use of the English language;
- European citizen or non- European legally allowed to work in the European Union. We are unable to obtain residency papers for non-EU passport holders;
- TEFL qualification (preferably CELTA with A or B grade);
- education to University degree level or equivalent qualification;
- at least two years' relevant TEFL experience;
- experience in Cambridge English or other official exams preparation;
- ICT proficient
- dynamic and trustworthy applicants willing to commit to a nine month contract, from October 25 to June 2026.
- a friendly and confident manner;
- good planning and organisational skills;
- flexibility and an adaptable teaching style.
