We work in attractive modern premises and have a large up-to-date stock of teaching materials amd other resources. We strive to maintain a friendly atmosphere and provide teacher support, Spanish classes and help finding accomodation. Optional summer work.

Job Summary

Details of Position

We require 2 experienced English teachers to start in October.

We are committed to providing adequate support and a relaxed environment for our team and consequently work hard to allocate classes to teachers that are most suited to their abilities and experience. Although our team is of a sufficient size for us to be able to accommodate teachers preferences regarding age and level we are currently looking to fill a post teaching teenagers and adults at any levels and another teaching primary. We believe this contributes greatly to the smooth running of the school we are so proud to have achieved over the years.

All groups work with a book and pupils bring their own copy to class. On-going provision is made for all necessary support and materials to be provided so that teachers may give motivating and enjoyable classes and also work with a certain degree of autonomy. We actively promote and prepare our students for the full range of official exams so previous experience in this is an advantage but not essential.

Teaching mainly takes place from 4 pm to 9.30 pm although optional morning work is available.
Total number of hours worked is negotiable. Part-time posts start at 8 hours per week, full time up to a maximum of 27 hours contact hours. We organise our own summer camp in July (optional) where hours are also flexible.

Qualifications

We employ reliable, co-operative teachers who fulfil the following requirements:
Bi-lingual/native speaker competence, preferably with a degree and TEFL qualification
Minimum experience 1-2 years.
EU national or non EU with valid work permit.
Some Spanish an advantage
References from previous employers required.
We welcome teacher creativity and require enthusiasm and responsibility

Salary and Benefits

Competitive salary guaranteed. Part time or full time.
Increments for teachers with a Diploma qualification.

Paid holidays: 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 week at Easter and all local, national and regional fiestas (normally 7 additional days from Oct to June, 22 days in total)
Initial contract to end June/July 2025
Possibility of summer work if required
Promotion and longer contracts possible after first year.
Internet access, training and development workshops, initial training and Spanish classes provided.
