Job Summary

Details of Position

The British Schools of Taranto and Brindisi are looking for full-time teachers for teaching positions starting from October 2024 until the end of June 2025 to teach a range of courses for children, teenagers, and adults at all levels. Our courses take place on our own school premises and off-site in state schools and companies.

Our schools are based in southern Italy and are professionally run by friendly and highly motivated staff. We are happy to consider candidates who wish to return to the UK for Summer School posts and then return to us for the start of the following academic year. We usually only offer full-time teaching contracts but for teachers already living in Italy, we can consider part-time.

Degree Required

Applicants should have one of the following required qualifications:
Cambridge CELTA, Cambridge CELTA online, Trinity CertTESOL, TEFL Certificate, TESOL Certificate , Cambridge DELTA, Trinity DipTESOL

Teaching experience: 3 years

Qualifications

We require our teachers to have a recognised official teaching qualification enabling you to teach English as a Foreign Language (RSA or Trinity certificate 100 hours training) Cambridge CELTA or Trinity College Cert TESOL (not online, weekend or other short courses unless the applicant has had at least 2 years teaching experience in a Language School following the course).

We're hiring Candidates who also have experience of preparation for the University of Cambridge exams and/or IGCSE Physics and Biology. It is essential that the candidate is able to provide two good professional references and enjoys working with children and adults.

Salary and Benefits

Contract until end-June or July 2025 (extendable and/or renewable by mutual consent).

25 teaching hours a week

The salary will be based on experience and qualifications but ranges from 1,150.00 to 1,200.00 net per month.

Reasonably priced accommodation is available, sharing with other teachers in a residential area extremely well-placed for shops and services, 15/20 mins on foot from the school).
