Job Summary

Details of Position

Able to work independently whilst being a strong team leader working with all departments across the College. You will be responsible for leading and supporting a large team of teachers.

Ensure that all staff are well informed, organised, observe teaching to ensure all teachers are performing their duties to a good standard, engaging well with students and ensure that the academic programme is well delivered.

The successful applicant will demonstrate recent line management experience in an academic/educational context. You will have experience of planning staffing, ensuring resources are used in a cost effective way and within budget.

Ensure the timely recruitment of staff to meet the needs of upcoming courses, liaising with the HR Manager and participating on interview panels as required.

Be highly organised and motivated with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. We require excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey clear and concise information to colleagues and visiting group leaders.

This role will also require the post holder to teach on a regular basis.

Qualifications

TEFLQ DELTA
2 years experience in a similar role is essential or able to demonstrate transferrable skills.
2 years experience managing teaching staff and planning staffing/rotas/timetables.

Salary and Benefits

£28,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience

We are looking to recruit a Head of Academic Programmes to provide professional leadership, for the development and delivery of our academic programmes. You must have experience in a similar environment and proven successful background working within EFL. Teaching on a regular basis will be part of this role.
