Role: Assistant Director of English (General and Executive English)
Salary: £33,640 £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Type of contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week, (to be worked on a rotational shift basis)

About International House
International House London is an established and well-known language school, with over sixty years of experience in providing language courses and teacher training programmes. Role requirements:
This exciting and varied role will entail working closely with and support the Director of English and wider English department to provide academic leadership and innovation. In addition the postholder will help create a superior student-centric learning environment and ensure that academic processes and procedures provide best practice in relation to accrediting bodies.

The roleholder will also work closely with the Director of English to ensure the continuous and progressive development of the General English and Executive English provision, contributing to strategy, driving change and development objectives. Furthermore the post holder will provide appropriate support and guidance to learners and course participants to ensure that they have a positive learning experience as well as implement agreed standards for student progress and learning outcomes; to ensure that the academic progress and needs of the students are being met.

Finally the roleholder will work with the Director of English to build a highly engaged, high performing and student-focussed teaching team with an appropriate range of expertise, through efficient recruitment procedures, robust induction, personal development plans, ongoing CPD and inspiring leadership (with support from the CPD Manager).
