Details of Position
Locations: Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol & Cheltenham
Dates: Oxford and Cambridge Centres are open to students from 26 June to 7 August
Bristol and Cheltenham are open to students from 10 July to 21 August.
The post holder would be required to work for the duration of the centre's operation, usually 6 weeks in duration and to assist with the close down of the school.

Key Duties
Staff Management
With the support of the Centre Manager lead a team of teachers to ensure that they all adhere to high professional standards, and ensure the safety and welfare of all staff and students at all times
Oversee the placement testing of all new students and allocate students to classes with the support of the Centre Manager
Support the Centre Manager with creating and implementing the staff rota
Ensure the teaching team has access to all resources needed to teach their classes
Hold daily meetings with teaching staff to ensure effective communication between teachers and encourage high quality lesson delivery, following the pre-set weekly themes and topics
Observe teachers regularly to ensure lessons are delivered to a high quality
Conduct formal staff reviews of the teaching team, with support from Senior Management Team
Assist and support teachers with lesson planning, where necessary
Induct any new teachers on site in all company policies and procedures
Organise and oversee professional development sessions throughout the summer
Oversee the organisation and execution of academic workshops for students

Student Welfare
All staff have a responsibility for implementing Oxford Spires International's policies and procedures, and representing the school to the highest standard
All staff have a responsibility to ensure the safeguarding of all students and to fully understand and follow the schools safeguarding policy and procedures
Help to maintain student behaviour, safety and welfare.
Supervise airport arrivals and departures as necessary
Take part in the rota for accompanying and supervising full day weekend off site excursions
Take part in the overnight on call duty rota as necessary

Other
You will be required to work six days each week made up of five of days in the school plus accompanying one off site day trip
You may be required to work at more than one location throughout your contract
During weeks of lower student attendance numbers you may be required to assist the Teachers or Activity Team with their duties.

Essential Requirements
Excellent spoken and written English language skills, with a high level of communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literate
Previous experience of working with young people at an EFL summer school, ideally in a management role
Ability to work under pressure, flexible with excellent organisational and problem solving skills
Hard-working and responsible attitude
All staff will be subject to safeguarding checks including an enhanced DBS disclosure

Qualifications

Essential:
DELTA, PGCE, TEFLI or TEFLQ qualification or equivalent
Degree Level Education

Salary and Benefits

£600.00 per week
