Details of Position
St Giles Juniors is a division of St Giles International, a UK company. In addition to 6 year-round centres we also run a thriving operation for Juniors aged 8-17 and in 2023, we are offering 4 camps in the UK, and 3 Family Course locations. The Operations Manager is part of the groups middle management team and is accountable for delivering an outstanding social programme, the logistics of our meet and greet service to students at London's main airports, ferry ports etc., and supports the Director of Juniors in carrying out her duties. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Director of Juniors and together they hold responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the Juniors division and its operational activities, this includes the St Giles Juniors residential centres and the St Giles Family Courses.
This position would suit an experienced Operations Manager or Summer Activity Manager/Leader who is looking to move into a permanent management position. The ideal candidate must be/have
- highly organised
- strong social/communication/customer service skills
- proven project management skills
- good negotiation skills
- ability to work under pressure
- flexible and able to deal with last minute changes
- able to use their own initiative as well as being a good team player
- Experience of working in a language school or school summer centre as a manager or activity manager/leader (preferable)
Qualifications

Salary and Benefits
This role can be offered as a fixed term contract until August 2023 (£31,000 per annum pro-rata). Alternatively, this can be offered as a permanent full-time role with teaching/admin responsibilities between September and December.
Based in the office at our Brighton school. Flexible working off season may be possible. The successful candidate will be required to travel to centres and work weekends during the 6-week summer season.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
