Job Summary

The average work week is Monday-Thursday from 16:00-21:00. Fridays are mandatory from 10:00-12:00 which will be considered paid administrative preparation. Occasionally there will be morning and Friday classes depending on student and academy needs.

Thorough class preparation is essential and you will be required to submit weekly syllabuses to the Director of Studies.

Knowledge of Cambridge material is desired but if you don't have the experience, it will be provided through in-house training.

Details of Position

Being not only the biggest academy in Ciudad Real but also a well-established school since 2009, we specialize in the teaching of English as a foreign language. But also offer classes in German and French. Class size is small, with a maximum of 8-9 students per class, maintaining established COVID distancing procedures. Teaching schedules are Monday to Thursday, with some classes on Fridays for select teachers. Weekends are free! The school is fully heated and air-conditioned and has wired and wi-fi internet access. We are an official Cambridge English Premium Exam Preparation Centre with an exceptional student pass rate and enter candidates for levels: PET to CPE. We offer the opportunity for professional development through observation, feedback, and Cambridge training. All teachers receive continual support from the directors of studies.

Qualifications

A university degree is preferred but a TEFL qualification (min 120 hours) or equivalent is acceptable with a minimum of 2-years of teaching experience is preferred. Classroom teaching experience is a must and Cambridge exam preparation is preferred but not necessary as training will be provided.
